(Note: This is experimental and not proven, it is there to make you think please don’t just take these words as they are. thanks.)
To identify past traumas firstly you need to find out where in which time period it is located and what it is associated with. So first roughly figure out what things happened, why, how you felt who was involved etc. Try to untangle your feelings from it and try to look at all the associated events or emotions that came after or before it. Try to identify when you first felt like how you felt and whether it got worse or not. Things like this are complicated and may affect you at many levels which may not be apparent at first. Identifying conflicts within yourself might be another hint into uncovering past feelings.
You can take the approach of unwinding events through time like a video tape to try and get a sense of what happened. It is important not to attach yourself to these things and see them as not you but events and experiences you went through. This is very important. Don’t try to hold anything too close to you, its important to let go of the past sometimes. Once you identify the problems involved you are on the way to solving it. It’s not easy but questioning the feelings kind of like certain methods taken from CBT can help. Try to let the emotions naturally release if possible. Using affirmations can be good as long as you aren’t just saying things emptily this can be a useful. There are some other methods too that are very good potentially better than I might go over later on, I will mention however that methods using hypnosis or reprogramming at a behavioural but not inner level will not be useful and are potentially harmful. Also some methods are very unbalanced and by only look at one aspect of you issues while avoiding another. Some neutralisation by opposite methods are good but potentially if used badly could be harmful in a sort of way as being too much of a quick easy method. Its important to not rely on one method and use several.
Often in many ways rigidity is promoted a lot and a distancing to creativity. My view is a fear or just inability of the mixing of things, for example gender stereotypes are often used to categorise opposites. The bible also for example forbids hybrids. Things are kept separate and binary. People see in black and white and so only one or the other. Things can’t randomly come together and interrelate. Things are seen through differences rather than similarities.
Its hard not to succumb to the idea of solid categories which are kept separate from each other. You think a chair is for sitting on but you forget, maybe there are other uses? Could it be there to make a sculpture or a fort? Or maybe you could make a chair that is also a table. Its important also to experiment and look for new things or new uses.
It is hard when repeatedly creativity is stifled by forcing you into a box or mold so you can’t grow in certain directions and your mind set becomes more narrow and less here and there.
Untangle the emotional feelings that are tightly tied together, holding in. release them, understand them. express them fully. examine the relations you have and let go when you need to, don’t hold onto the rope when you don’t need to, be loose, be free. know you worth it. that you are great. that you can hold yourself.
We can see everything as abstract forms. The abstract components that make up life become connected, or you could say these abstract entities become stringed together. However I wouldn’t say these are real at all. Just another ‘fake’ way of seeing things but interesting at least.
We can see also that in the same way that people seem to function collection of objects, places can gain a sense of body where different parts become specialised over others and work together. Also these things form connections with other things and interlink. Nothing is not linked in someway even if indirectly.
We can see people as having different frequencies different skews different -orientations-
abstract wavelengths that do and reach different states and equilibriums of some kind (balanced or imbalanced).
When organisation is added to this chaos gives power to a controlled enity unit.
This organisation great and powerful and has far reach and power as it travels through and connects its components. This strength is good but can be harmful in removing independence and overtly controlling ‘the other’. Freedom of thought is important and to do what you want to do without always having others dictate this so you can take your own flow with things, even though influence from others can be useful too in some cases to change your direction.
I had an interesting thought. When I lose interest is a class, discipline it is often not that I have learnt all I can (which is sometimes the case however) but that I don’t get to learn in my own way, apply my own techniques or ideas and take things forward in a way that I want to. Therefore I become isolated from the group just like what happens often with me in group work. I lose the passion that brought me to the subject to the first place and I disengage; losing touch with important ideas and feelings. Of course sometimes I write something and I forget how I was thinking and feeling when I wrote something so time itself can make you lose touch as well (which is why it is important to write down ideas clearly). It can be sad to say goodbye to something you thought you has much passion in but maybe its not too late to revisit it.
Different buildings are often created to represent certain ideas or evoke certain feelings intentionally or not. Looking at this idea of architectural forms representing peoples ideas feelings, certain shapes such as circles can be relaxing whereas sharp corners have a more menacing edge.
We can also look at interesting shape buildings like the ‘cheesegrater’ in the UK, the gherkin and the walkie talkie.These shapes embody certain ideas and forms. Or an building with columns add some kind of importance or significance to a building some how as they support it.
Another interesting idea is how we project feelings on to cityscapes, for example the vapourwave aesthetic may use imagery from Tokyo. A dreamy idea of something far of and a sort of blending into the city.
