Changing the world is everyday

“Hey I enjoy making a difference to the world don’t you?” I want to change the world may be an overused statement in some ways or a wish that is not achieved. But of course life is an ever changing experience in which everyone is able to create some kind of change in so in one sense everyone is making a difference to the world by just being there.

Rather than following others create your own culture, express your own views. There are many ways to get creative out there and that doesn’t just include creating things traditionally thought of as art. You can still entertain yourself without always going back to tv. Entertain can mean “to give attention or consideration to (an idea, suggestion, or feeling)” and you do not need tv to do that.

Best to mostly avoid the status quo as it is full of followers, be a lion and not a sheep. Stand for yourself.

Try out new things, the best way is to go out into the world and explore. For that you may need to overcome fear, laziness and self limiting beliefs but it is worth it.

People naturally influence others around them and by standing for yourself you naturally make the world a better place. Your worth isn’t determined by what others think of you (though it is still good to treat others well of course). It is cool to be true to who you are.

1 Originality, I think is creating something based on your own thinking and ideas.
You can create new things from mixing pre-existing things and you can use inspirations.
Just because someone has made something slightly similar doesn’t mean your creation isn’t original.

And also anyone can be original.
Being original could be seen as quite important, as it means you aren’t just imitating the people around you or using old ideas and traditional ways of thinking, its shows your unique way of thinking and creativity :3

2 self-actualization could be defined as:

Having freedom from cultural expectations, being able to be true to yourself including having gone through considerable personal development, and gaining a broader, deeper and clearer understanding of life. If that still doesn’t make sense it is basically about fufilling your real needs and not doing things just because others do like a sheep.
Different people may achieve self-actualization in different ways the main things are to maintain your awareness and understanding push boundaries and overcome fears. I think about how different people act at certain times and try to understand the underlying reason.

It is interesting how people have such different ways of thinking yet many people do try to conform to others. People seem to be so individual and unique yet I don’t know if they express this enough. Self-actualization is through a process of discovery and doesn’t happen overnight (and it is continuous) and is something that is up to the person to experiment and decide what works for them.

3 Will energy ever be sustainable?
The world relies on fossil fuels which will run out eventually with supplies of coal, oil and natural gas being only low however there is also the issue of the use of fossil fuels causing the enhanced greenhouse effect and leading to global warming. I think it wouldn’t be possible to live in space if earth becomes inhabitable.
Every energy source has its drawbacks.

Like Wind power which the UK wants to use it to help it achieve its target of generating 10 per cent of electricity with renewable sources. These wind farms face large opposition from others as they have harmful effects on wildlife and they cost a lot to make in the first place.

The better solution would be to save energy use by using the well-known ways of saving energy such as turning of appliances when not used and saving on carrier bags. Recycling helps the environment too although it is important to use less materials in the first place and reuse. Maybe something more innovative needs to be done? This could be like making cities more eco-friendly such as in Curitiba where they have many parks and a complex bus system which is very cheap and attractive to people.
Surveys could be used to find out which areas the most energy is used and how the energy is used and reduce them in these areas by taking specific action. This is probably already commonly done, but the more we know about how energy is used the more we can take specific action. Right now the current economic problems between countries seem to be a priority however

I posted on a couple of other topics too, including whether comparing the idea of being an only child with having siblings, being an only child is often thought as a negative but could have benefits as it helps you to develop your own creativity.

The importance of: not caring about what others think about you and being true to yourself

Many people act desperately to try to gain other peoples approval and therefore act in ways that they think other people would like instead of how they would genuinely like to act. Being genuinely true to yourself requires you to stop conforming and following others. This requires courage and overcoming the fear that you may come off as weird, strange or unnatural. Everyone is unique in their own way and although some people may think they are happier by acting fake, just for peoples’ approval or to fit in a certain group (e.g. at a school) or even just to make friends; by being fake you are probably not acting how you would truly want to deep down. This includes disagreeing with what people say sometimes and saying things some people may disapprove of although of course sometimes it is best not to say anything or to tone down what you are saying as you still need to be sensitive of other peoples’ opinions.

  • Ninety percent of the world’s woe comes from people not knowing themselves, their abilities, their frailties, and even their real virtues. Most of us go almost all the way through life as complete strangers to ourselves.–Sydney J. Harris

Thinking about life, what makes it worth living?

How is life made worth living? There are many people who don’t know what to do with their life and stay in watch T.V. or feel like their have something missing. What can you do to find out what you need to do in your life? It’s simple – yet hard to put into effect, I think the most important thing is exploration.

You can explore yourself and the world around you in many ways.

Self exploration can be done by journalling, or by arts (not just drawing or painting) and thinking. You could explore in ways such as by reading or talking to others, or challenging your comfort zone by doing things you wouldn’t normally do. However there can be things that prevent you from doing these things such as fear, being addicted to comfort or in other ways not be able to do something, maybe just because you don’t have the resources or the time. It can be so good to explore in different ways, however it’s probably best to take small steps at a time but without giving up too quickly.

This is my first post, I would love it if you could tell me what you think below if you liked it or not and what you found interesting/could be improved. I am experimenting with styles right now 😀
